Equipo Femenino La Vega (United Cup) landed 27-year old American point guard Taylor Brown (170cm-93, college: GMU) for 2021 United Cup. She joins another USA player Carrie Washington who is already in the roster.

She played recently at Mandurah Magic in Australian NBL1 West. She missed last season due to covid-19 restrictions and had longer break from professional basketball.

Brown has played previously professionally in Iceland (Snaefell) and Luxembourg (Residence). She was the top scorer in Luxembourg in 2019 (24.9ppg).

Among many awards Brown's team was regular season runner-up in Australian SBL in 2019. She received also Eurobasket.com All-Luxembourg League Honorable Mention award in 2019.

She attended George Mason University until 2016 and it will be her fifth season in pro basketball.

Let's have closer look into Brown's outlook: Taylor Brown is a quick scoring combo guard, great ball handler, and active defensive player. Her ability to score makes it hard for her opponents to guard her. She finished her college career with 1,693 career points as the 2nd All-time Leading Scorer in just 3 years. She set a single-season scoring record with 643 points and led the Atlantic 10 and GMU with 21.4 points (13th nationally) per game. Taylor reached 1,000 points in just 50 games, faster than any player in Mason women?s basketball history. She was the High Major Madness National Player of the Week in 2014. Her career high in points in a single game is 35 points in which she reached three times vs. UMass, Virginia Tech, and Longwood. Her career high in assists in a single game is 11 assists vs. the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She averaged a career of 18.4 ppg, 3.0 apg, 4.4 rpg at George Mason University. Additionally, Taylor is the one of the recipients for the Allstate WBCA Good Works Team (2016), Washington Post Player of the Year (2011), Maryland Gatorade Player of the Year (2011), and Parade All-American (2011).
